1970 Fan Shroud Troubles
Hi, I have a 1970 with a 350, no a/c I have been trying to figure out how to get the fan shroud mounted. ANY IDEAS?
The car came without one, so I robbed the fan and shroud off a 79 my neighbor was towing to the salvage yard. I do not know how it is 'supposed' to be, but no matter how I try it does not seem to work. Should the fan be inside the shroud? Or should just the bent portion of each blade be in the shroud? Should the top of the fan be further in the shroud than the bottom? However I try it seems to scrape somewhere on the shroud.
Whew, I got a lot of money in this car now, it sure be nice to get the stock fan working! I could go electric, but it is such a draw on the battery that I was hoping to stay more original.
Anyone know how this should be?
Thanks in advance for any help!
