In an effort to save gas i have found myself driving around town at 1500 rpm. Is this ok for my engine. And am i really saving gas in the process ???
I will usually shift at a little over 2000rpm droping my rpms just around 1500...

 

Well it also depends on how far you have to keep the gas pedal pushed. If you have to keep it mashed to keep it at 1500 then you aren't really saving too much.

 

Most of the time just light pressure on the gas......just wondering if its ok to cruise around at 1500
