Anyone heard of a 2.92 ratio in the 10 bolt rear end with 8.5" ring gear?

 

im sure they make one, or something close to it. why do u ask?

 

I race a 1974 camaro at Antioch Speedway.The cars that are running the gm 602 crate motor,have found that the 2.92 ratio rear end works really well.We race on a 3/8 mile dirt track in 1st gear with the th350 transmission.With this rear gear the motor runs at about 5300 rpm which is where it makes peak power.I'm trying to find a set of these gears for my self.Anyone who knows where they are available please let me know.

 

have you checked w/ motive? yukon also makes alot of different gear types

 

I have not been able to find those gears anywhere.They supposedly were available OEM,but i'm not sure what models came with that gear.

 

have u considered upgrading to a 12 bolt or 9" running a 602bb will be loads of fun for ur 10 bolt, even if it IS one of the older 8.5"

 

I found out on another site that a 2.93 8.5" ring gear came in the 1973-1975 Buick Regal.
