Hi I live in England and have just purchased a 01 model Z28 and am having a few strange things happening the radio turns itself on and off just after starting the car but then stays on, the service soon light comes on but there are no fault codes and the heated rear screen relay chatters after the screen has been on for about 2 minutes. has anyone got a clue as to the cause?

 

Being in England around Jaguars you should be used to electrical problems.
I am sorry. I can just be mean at times.
When you check the service soon light for codes do you use a reader or a shop scanner? There may be a code stored in memory and a reader may not tell you that but a scanner might.
The rear screen heater control may be bad. It has a timer built into it and might be malfuntiong. Other than the control there is only fuses, a ground wire and the heater grid.

 

Hi the codes were checked with a scanner (tech 2 I think) and not all Jags are bad.
