Default what do you think?

What do you all think this will run? 72 Camaro with 396. .030 over. 10.5:1 forged Speed Pro pistons, stock ported heads, comp cams Magnum 280 cam with .540 lift, RPM air gap intake with Holley HP 830 double pumper.Crane HI-6 ignition with MSD 8.8mm wires and Autolite platinum plugs.DUI billet distributor.Electric fan.1 7/8" headers feeding 2 1/2" duals with H pipe and 40 series Flows. 6speed trans with Centerforce Dual Friction clutch. Ford 9" rear with 4.30 gears and mini spool. Have L60-15 M/T Indy Profiles for racing. Car is lowered 1 1/2" all around and has all bushings replaced with polyurethane. I am running power steering. What are some HP and quarter mile estimates. I haven't had this thing on the road yet and wonder what to expect.

I bet you could get 12's with that set up, maybe 450-500 hp?

I'm only guessing though, total speculation at a glance!

Yours tire are junk for drag racing. Get a M/T ET Street Drag Radial or ET Street. Indy Proiles are garbage 1970's technology. With those tires you won't break into the 12's is my bet. My HP guess is low 400 at the crank.

I know the tires are crappy. I just kept them to take to the track. I have 17's on it for normal driving. I didn't build this car for the strip, but what the hell. It'll go down the 1320 a few times. I don't want to buy another pair of tires. I already spent almost $2K on wheels and tires already.

The 17's will probably work better at the track.

You think 285-40-17 BFG G-Force T/A's will stick better? They're shorter for sure. My pics are progress photos. The car's still in primer and front sheetmetal's off for the engine install. Taking a long time to put back together. While I'm here I might as well... You know how it goes. Motor sounds killer, though. I'll post pics soon

Oh yea? What was his 60 foot. Trust meI have plenty of experiance with them, they are NOT a good drag tire. They have a pretty hard compound and a stiff sidewall.

12.7 with 330 isnt all that impressive. a good set of slicks could get that down further.
