Default Today at Great Lakes

1st run - Was my first experience on slicks ever. I wasn't used to doing a burnout, and my nerves were pretty fried after waiting in line for 2 hours. Launch wasn't horrible, but I jumped the gun a bit. Then instead of the 2-3 shift, I made a 2-5 shift. Oops.

R/T -.186
60' 1.908
330' 5.382
1/8 8.696
1/8 MPH 70.58
1000' 11.506
1/4 13.765
1/4 MPH 100.71

2nd run - Had my nerves calmed down a bit. Figured out how to effectively stage and such. The car felt as good as it ever has, and the only place I feel like I could have done better was in my 2-3 shift. The thought of pulling another 2-5 shift made me slow down a bit. Might have been able to make up another .1 if I was quicker with it, but I'd say I have nothing to complain about.

R/T .211
60' 1.717
330' 5.163
1/8 8.079
1/8 MPH 85.30
1000' 10.566
1/4 12.682
1/4 MPH 106.18

The setup is 2004 SOHC neon. Motor untouched with the exception of a mag cam. 16g turbo at 11psi, log manifold, stock IM, no cat or muffler but stock exhaust piping. MsNS for management.

I gotta say man, you got one helluva sleeper. It just looks like a stock Neon. I bet you use that to your advantage alot, eh? Haha.

Those are some great numbers though.

Thanks for the good words! You would be amazed at the amount of work it takes to make a 16 second car into a 12 second car. But days like yesterday make it worth it. I'm still trying to findtheSXT neonwing to replace the SRT4 wing I have on the back of it but they are really rare in my color. Then it's even more ofa sleeper.

Just the back and passenger seats, and trunk carpet with the rear deck carpet. I probably saved 120 lbs or so with all of it.
