sounds like the races we have over in my aria but we rae on a 1/8 mile airstrip...and your alowed to use any motor and tranny you want.

its pretty cool how its at midnight and its CHEAP i think its awesome how someone can ride along wit you.

 

A lot of tracks do midnight madness events at least once a month.

 

its not at midnight they just call it that, the only downside is since is so cheap they dont prep the track and tons of people show up so you dont really get a lot of runs in, sometimes you are waiting 2 hrs between runs.I just dont like these new rules at all.

 

I agree. I went to one before i left and at first it was great. I was there about a hour early so i started setting up the car and a few other cars showed and every thing was good. I wanted to wait a bit but no one was running so i figured what the heck i would make a pass or two. I think i made 7 passes by 7:00PM. Then people started showing up in force. It was about 9:00 and i was getting sick of all the normal crap you see at the tracks on nights like that so i figured one more pass and i would call it a day. I am about the 100th car in line and what happens. Some kid in a ricer grenades his trany and dumps trans fluid all over the freaking track. Well there where about 100 cars behind me and i had no way to get out. 3 hours latter they finally clear the track. At this point people are not even racing they are just driving down the track to get out. It was a end to a day that started out so good and ended horrible. Now it is always fun to go and watch but it can too get old very fast.

 

thats why they inforced these rules, you get these kids in hondas who show up and they do the work themselves on their cars and always leak stuff all over the place.but some of these rules are pretty ridiculous, and they blame the high performance guys on it, jeez

 

Your right. But that is what ends up causing most tracks to put a end to it. The latter it gets the more um how do i say this nice (experienced) guys start showing up. Also as the night goes on the more alcohol shows up. And you always have some guy driving around the freaking parking lot on a 4x4 or dirt bike showing off. Then you start to see more and more ricers and then the high school shows up and next thing you know you cant even get out of the darn parking lot.[:@]
