so, today didnt seem to be a promising day at all. rain in the morning, intermittant showers throughout the day. Decided to drive the Trans Am since i hadnt in a few days. So i began by uploading a new tune which seemed to make a noticable improvement. But I wasnt able to play since the roads were wet.

My Frustration grew when I was driving down the middle of town and a silver skittle revved up and blew off at me... again, wet roads.... and he and his passengers just laughed as I did nothing.... ill get him some day... dont you worry.

anyways, i went about my business.... got a little more irritated when the wal-mart card my GF usually uses was declined and I had to cover the cost of her groceries....... $170 later were on our way to the co-op because I am going to try to make sushi for the first time. Im in a pretty bad mood and just want to get my *** home and eat, because, if youre anything like me, there is nothing worse than being grumpy AND hungry [:@]. So i begin to pull out and its busy, tail end of rush hour. I think someone is going to be nice but no, cut off at last minute and just get to watch everyone go by. I notice a couple cars, a riced out honda, a blue mustang 5.0 with one of those weird drifter wings, and a couple higher end imports... audi and VW if i remember right... but i wasnt paying too much attention. I finally get on the road and im doing everything i can to get to the intersection leading to the highway but i have about a mile to go..... and nobody is moving.

I finally get to the final stop light, my way, heading right, goes to the interstate. this is the 2nd to last light before basically empty country 4 lane highway. i get into the turning lane and... whats this? the fox body mustang from before is stopped in the far lane at the right... nobody is next to him....... nobody is beside me..... i quick yank the wheel over and slide up next to him. the car was blue/purple, i didnt hear anything that made me think it was much of a threat, but the passenger looked at me through the blue-tinted windows and laughed to the driver. alright D-bag.... its on [sm=badbadbad.gif]. Neither of us revs up. we just wait for the light. the light turns green and we both punch it. of course, since i didnt rev I bogged bigtime. the cam doesnt kick in till 4krpm, so we race neck and neck for about 3 seconds with him slowly advancing. Then the cam kicks in, and with all the force of a turbo spooling my car shoots out about a length and a half. Shift. 2nd gear didnt take long, the new redline stops and 80, and thats where I shut down, still before the next light which was about 3 blocks down, and he was a healthy ways behind me. we both roll up to the next light, and the passenger is yelling something which i could only take as a ricer excuse... clutch slipping? ur *** is too fat, drop off the passenger and then race? missed gear? i dont know. the windows were up and i knew there was no other outcome anyways. besides, if we went again wed race to a merge point and I wouldnt be able to easily get back to the highway. I turned off at the light and flipped around, my mood suddenly much better. that makes the 2nd notch on my fender for a fox mustang. Nice story. I ate a stang today, and some idiot in a grand prix...he wouldn't leave me alone today, so I wasted about 3 gallons of gas.

 

i dont get many people that are really insistant to race me...... i have to be the aggressor if i want any races [&:]

 

I get idiots, that cant tell my loud car has a big block... the stang today had some ugly to fast decals, and a cheap stick on hood scoop. I droped it into 2nd to let him know to leave me alone, but they don't learn.

 

Most of the dumb little ricers get scared by my exhaust and Z28 badges *sigh*

I haven't been involved in any races since I had the Corolla. I was going up this long hill, just rolling along, new paint had been on the car for 2 days. It had a glass pack, so had a decent sound for a 4 banger. This satin V dub gets on my bumper, and pulls to the side to pass me up the hill. The corolla had some good power up high, so I down shifted into 2nd and ran the tach up to 8500, shifted into 3rd. The goof never had a chance. I can't count how many times I should have blew that engine up. I think I was going 90 ish when he turned off the road. The next week, my little car tried to have a relationship with a tree stump 20 feet down a cliff.
