Default Sick Rides Again

for those interested ... went to the drags lastnight. my 450 dual quad setup looked mean as hell but, was dumping too much fuel. put my 600 VS back on and and turned a 13.96 @ 99.21 with a .6985 RT. and 13.83 @ 100.27 with a .6597 RT. improved my personal best by a half second and smoked a stang to boot. as you might have guessed i left the strip satisfied. gonna rejet the duals and try them again next time. it's pretty much overkill but the car draws alot of attention with the tunnel ram and dual quads. it's a real crowd pleaser. drag racing rules. sick

2.146 and a 2.147. yea it's so much more pleasureable when the money you spend buys you a better time. when i ran the dual quads i was pissed lol. it was running the exact same times as before the slicks. put my old setup back on gained the half second. kinda thought it was gonna be more. guess the spinning wasn't loosing as much time as i thought. then too the slicks are 27 inches so thats probably working against my gears. need to drop down to a 26. i got the 27's for 25 bucks a piece with 90% rubber left so they was kinda hard to pass up. gonna keep my eyes open for some a little smaller. sick

LOL ... i wish i knew. still haven't got comfortable enough look. just by earing it i would guess about 7 grand. my tranny doesn't have the lockup wired and for some reason it won't shift into 4th which is ok because the point of where i need to shift is right at the 1/4 mile. i told myself i was gonna make a point to look at the rpm's but, it didn't happen. it's right in front of my face seems like it would eventually occur to me to look LOL. the slicks are hooking pretty good tho. they spin a little but, not a whole lot. they are stiff wall slicks from nascar but, for 25 bucks a piece i'll live with it. finally getting a little weight transfer now. the lakewoods are finally doing something besides collecting rubber. sick

I believe a wise man told you that it was overkill, and a whole bunch of people jumped on him because he didn't drive a Camaro and told me, I mean him, to butt out.

Glad to see you're improving, keep at it. (I know you will, speed is addicting!!!!)
