First off your story has a few holes in it. No i am not trying to flam you but there are some things to point out that i am sure some of the nicer members have not pointed out.

First off you do not use your E brake for a J-turn. Think about how your car moves and how it is set up and i think you will figure out why.

Spining the car around takes time and cost a lot of speed if not bringing you to a full stop. This would cost you a fair amount of time. More then a few seconds.

If this was a D15 none vtec pos civic it would run 18s. Thats about 3 seconds slower then you. There is not a lot of time to pull what you are saying.

Revers in your car is a high ratio but not as high as drive so you would have to pull this off 3-4 seconds withen the race. Rember its going to cost some time to spin so i dont see you being ahead at that point.

Most street race's take place right next to each other with the cars being very close to each other. A camaro is a long car i can see you being well into both lanes.
