I just bought a 99' V6 Camaro. I haven't had the time to add any mods yet, but if i were to take it out on the road stock, would i have a chance of beating anything?

 

200hp/225tq...~170rwhp stock...stock 1/4 is ~15.7...you have LSD?

There are plenty of cars you can beat, just pick your fights wisely. Don't go trying to race LT1 and LS1 cars and newer Mustang GT's and Cobras. I can honestly say I've never been beaten by another V6 car, I know they are out there but I haven't raced them. Closest V6race I've had was against a 300ZX, it was dead even. I still want to run a new Mustang V6. Guy ina tricked out Ford Truck with a V8 tryed to race me the other night, he had me by maybe a bumper. The 3.8's will even take some of the mid 90's Mustang GT's.

 

headers, cat, catback, CAI, nitrous, LSD, aluminum driveshaft...
