Default Headers

No one likes to hear about a divorce. Unless a 2000 Z28 comes out of the deal.

It is a 2000 Arrest-me-red with 35K. Bone stock; needs to breath in a bad way. The only way someone can say they have exhaust done is if headers are involved- I think anyway. So that’s the first plan, cold air in the top smooth exhale out the back.

From the guys who have done it, what is the best 1-2 punch for sound and power? It is the daily driver in the summer time, so the system must be foolproof. What headers, pipes, sizes, necessary changes, O-2’s, programmers, shortcuts, everything that will make the job worth wile.

I believe we have a few guys here who could get it done- not specifically auto-tech, but much experience with CNC’s. So tooling is not an issue- more or less taking a consensus for the best/ nicest to install, exhaust system so my baby can breathe.

P.S. Mine as well do the cold air too, any suggestions?

Default RE: Headers

depends on your tastes. i have pacesetter long tubes on mine with a 3" off road ypipe and a borla open catback. my sound clip is posted in the ride of the month section in the current voting thread if you want to hear it. u will want the before-cam clip anyways

really thats all you need. without touching the motor nothing else is going to affect your exhaust note.

now, if youre looking for power and price isnt an issue then go for kooks, hooker, or dynatech headers. pacesetter is a lower quality header, but on ls1's the performance gap is very small, and they all fit pretty well.some other people like SLP loudmouths, however with an off road ypipe this will be VERY loud and a little obnoxious IMO.
