Default First day at the track

So this was my first time to the strip, overall I'm not too supprised, 14.732@94.52 at the highest altitude track the NHRA runs on. Converted to sea level I would have run a 13.8@99.8, so not too bad for the first time. I could use some drag radials, I have some wheel spin issues all the way through first. On the other hand, for my first run ever I had no way of winning, I went up against a '67 or '68 Super Comp Camaro with some 10.5" or so slicks and a wheelie bar...kinda of demoralizing, but hey, it's a Camaro! The other sad thing is there was a Honda Civic running 12.5's, that's just way sad, and it sounded horrible!!

Awh, I know man, we're all cool. We gotta go again, but the next time it's on is the 18th of July...

Anyway, I have an extra set of the stock Salad shooters sittin' in my backyard, so I'm going to go down to Performance Wheel and Tire and check out their selection of used radials/slicks that'll fit the 8.5 inch wheel. Now lets just hope that I can get some good ones and not end up grenading my dif.

haha, nah, it was pretty sweet actually, I just got to watch him smoke me, haha!

Oh, and I thought that I'd let everyone know that I got some used M.T. Street ET 10.5" slicks today, so we'll see how those work. Having an extra set of wheels around has played out well for me! oh, and ss4real, I got them for $90 a piece! So they're DOT approved for the street...barely, haha! I hope I can just toss them in the back of another vehicle along with a jack and change them there, 'cause if it starts raining with these puppies you may as well be driving a sled.

Here they are: http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/s...?item=ETStreet
