FINALLY WENT TO THE TRACK!!!!!!!! 1st time ever
I had an AWESOME time! I'm officially hooked on it. I can see how this can be addicting haha. So here's what happened.
I met another guy from patriot stangs near it, and we rolled in together. Here is his mod list.
2001 Mineral Grey GT
JLT RAI, BBK Shorties, MAC O/R PC + CB, FRPP 4.10 Gears, "C" Springs, FRPP Alum. DS, Excessive Subframes, MGW Shifter, FR500 Steering Wheel, Bullitt Brake upgrade, 17x9 Bullitts 275/40/17 Sumis Front, 17x10.5 Deep Dish Bullitts 315/35/17 Sumis Back, SCT Xcal2 Tuned by JAX, CJPP Upper/Lower CAs, 275/40/17 MTs
BEST 1/4:13.497 60:1.724 1/8:8.663 MPH:102.07
He switched out his street tires for sticky DR's, I think they were Mickey Thompsons. Anyhow, we went to Mason Dixon, and it was supposed to rain but we decided to go anyhow. Well it cleared up, we ran from 12-3:15ish and then it started coming down and we had to pack it up. There was a really strong headwind too (excuses excuses hah) Anyhow, his best time of the day was 13.77 I think but he pulled a 1.72 60 foot so he was pretty happy. We both ran 16 passes, and I was nervous as frick my 1st run.
We met this really nice chick from PA with a terminator and she said she put down 505 to the rear wheels. She said the best she's ever run in it was 11.56 and her first past she ran a 12.4 I believe her quickest of the day was just under 12.
On to me, my 1st run was against the termi chick. I ran a 14.45 I think, and lol'd when I read it. I made a few passes, then stopped to talk to them all and found out I was stopping too early, I thought I had to stop at the signs that show the time on them LOLLERCLUCK.
I was wondering why they kept holding it out, I just thought they were trying to get to the end quicker haha.
Anyhow cliffnotes. My best of the day was 13.53 @ 104.4 mph and a 2.07 60 foot time on street tires. Sucky I know, but I think there is a lot more in this car. I just need to finesse my driving abilities haha. I had SOOO much fun though. And IRS wheel hop is a biatch btw. I have videos and pictures gimme a min I'll see if I can upload some.
Edit: that other guy with the GT was running pretty constant 14's the whole day, that's why I figure my car has some more in it. I figure at a good track with a nice prep and me driving decent I should hit low 13's. I was mad though cuz I wanted to be under 13.5
Racing myself, I think I ran 13.6 something on this one.

This is where I ran my best time, against an impreza wrx sti I think. Other guy killed me, ran a 10.67 @ 128 I think I'll have to pull the timeslip.

awesome run dude, good effort for your first time, supprised that you managed to get it to hook . mine usually blows the tires and i get a crap 2.0 60 foot but run 13.3, thats where low profile street tires get ya.
Im supprised the guy with the stang with DR running 1.7 60s didnt run a better ET, if i pulled that id be on for 12s
You'll be addicted now

Don't be too surprised, his best run of the day was like 13.7 or something, and that's with him hooking great. I've heard a 2.0 to 2.1 60 foot time is great on street tires, so I'm happy with my 2.07.
Also the track was 550 ft above sea level and we had headwinds, so that could be a factor. And I was told they could have done a better job prepping.
Every time we'd run each other, he'd take off awesome, and I'd spin, then I'd get traction and run him down easily. I gotta work on my reaction time too it was pretty bad.
