Thinking of picking up a 1LE car for some solosprint action next year before our track goes under. Anyone have any direct experience driving both 3rd and 4th Gen cars? How do they compare? Which is the better car for a novice on a rough track? Which is lighter, faster, easier to drive?

 

I have roadraced both the 3rd and 4th gen cars, and i believe the 3rd gen is a little more user friendly. It is lighter and the strut front suspension is much simpler.

 

4th gen, hands down

 

4th gens are faster but I have heard 3rd gens handle better.

 

3rdgen were best due to their better handling..
