Default 3.73 Gtech results

Ok for those of you who might be interested in what a gear change might do for you.
I havnt been to the track yet so i did the next thing to it and ran the 1/4 with the Gtech.
Wheelspin is now a issue, Im trying to learn how to take off with minimal wheelspin on the street. From a dead standstill i feather the gas to get the car moving and then about .8ish seconds later i floor it. It still spins a little. And when it hits second itspins a little too.
I got a 0-60 of 5.6sec and a 1/4 of 14.4 at 102mph. With this mph on the streeti feelit will be well into the 13s on the track.
Im telling you guys if you have $500 to spend on you car. Forget the exhaust, Forget the cold air intake, Forget the computer. Go straight for the gears!!!
Btw, my motor is stock w/msd ignition(149,000mi).Stock tuning.Stock air intake with k&n air filter. Stock exhaust w/hollowed cat. Performance transmission w/ stage 2 transgo shiftkit.

sorry if this is already posted somewhere else, but what were your stats prior to this? Also your wheel spin sounds fairly minor & bigger (wider) tires or a better perf tire would probably take care of most of that.

I took it to dinwiddy 1/4 mile track in petersburg Vaa few weeks ago and my best run was 14.853@93.16mphon the track with no wheelspin, track is very sticky. I know if i launched it better i could have gotten a faster time.It was my first time going to a track. That was right after i got my transmission put in and my cat wasnt gutted yet.
My best 0-60 on the street with the 3.23's was 5.9 seconds with a lot less tirespin.
The tires i have on it now are BFgoodrich g-force. regular street tire i guess.

I run a 14.7@96(first run ever) and that's at 5280 ft, if I were in VA I'd be running 13's, sounds like you could use some practice!
