But Specter,

We all know that the Z28 had 305 HP and the SS had 325. And God help you if you raced a WS6 cause they had like 50 HP more than the Camaros. Chevy would never publish low numbers on purpose to cover the fact that you can get the same amount of HP as a corvette for half the price.

 

Not to sound stupid, but a terminator is a WS6 right??

i love this simply because of the fact that the blue oval boys are bowing their heads a little, and they also point out that the comparable mustang to firebird/camaro model actually costs a little more. i have always heard how the mustang was the better car for the money.

 

I have video from back in 2003 before I went to Iraq with one of those six speed Camaros running high sevens low eights in the eighth mile at the Ohio Valey Raceway in Kentucky. The best thing about it was that an old man was driving the thing and kicking butt.

 

Here is your factory stock 1/4 mile but I believe he did run high 12's. I bet his tires arent stock, that may have been the difference =)

There are a series of problems with your post.
1. the car in question was factory stock (both times, the SS and the z28). it says "On stock radials" right at the end of the 3rd paragraph (reading is important )
2. your website looks to be an arbitrary set of times pulled at random from magazines or where ever just feels right at the time. There are also problems with this (itemized list a-coming)
a. with no consistancy between sources the numbers cannot really be fairly compared. if road and track gets a 13.0 with a Z and mototrend gets a 13.4 with a GT, can we really comment on the performance of these two vehicles in comarisson to each other?
b. magazines, historically, do not do a good job of accurately giving performance figures. too often they let some random schmoe drive the car and whoever got the 13.8 with the z28 that everyone loves to quote is a complete moron. I pulled 13.4 stock with a 2.1 60'. just because a magazine says so doesnt make it true. Which is why you won't actually grow 6 inches in 6 weeks with one simple pill, even though the mag says you will.
c. u give 0-60 times instead of 60ft times. the 60ft is what is important to gauge the quality of the run. we have no way of knowing how these cars launched or how accurate the numbers are.

3. and finally - you come on here and use your first post to promote a website which is not a forum sponsor - something that staff members already find irritating - and to boot the site is all but worthless.

so let's just say I'm annoyed. You can take a little bit of time to change your post to keep it strictly informative or discussion based and not self-serving and you can request a name change. If I don't see that by tomorrow you get banned.
