Default what to know about an ls1

i bought an 83 camarao that has been sitting for 8 years without a motor...thinking of putting an ls1 engine...think it will work?

WHAT KINDS OF MODS ARE WE TALKING ABOUT...THE CAR HAS A 350 TRANNY... WILL THEY BOTH BE COMPATIBLE???

The TH350 trans will bolt up to a LS1. But you will need a complete wire harness, computor and all sensors and accesoriesfor the LS1 to work. There is a Painless harness that will work as well. You can also carburate the LS1, there are kits out there to do it, but it would probably cost more or be equal to going fuel injected.
