i own a 1991 camaro rs with a 4 speed auto with overdrive and was wondering if there was a way to tell if i have the 700R4 or 4L60E

It's probably the TH700-R4, but the easiest way to be sure would probably RPO codes.

The 4L60E is a computer controlled transmission and is not suppoorted by the PM in yor car. There is a 4L60 transmission, non electronic, which is the new name for the 700R-4. The name was changed to confuse the innocent.
