Exclamation SLP 373 gear installation

I need to find a place online that shows how to install new 373 gears in my 98 Z28 Camaro. If possible, a sight showing specs and video installation would be helpful. I believe horsepower TV had an episode that showed step by step, but Im having a hard time finding it. Thanks!

Thanks, Does the book tell you specifically How to remove and install rear gear in a camaro or is it just a universal book on how too install gears.? I think their is a clutch pack that has to be removed inorder to install the rear gears but i'm unsure on it for i havent done a camaro rear end installation. Again thank you.

It is a general assembly type thing it does give torques specs on most of the gm rear ends. What rear end in in a 98 camaro?

I believe it is a 10 bolt, limited slip, with a clutch pack in it. I'm not 100% on the gear size that come's factor but it's the stock 98 z28 camaro rear end. I am thinking about just letting a different shop do it but wanted some opinions. It's my personal car so i'd rather do it myself but don't want to run the risk of messing it up and having to buy everythink again.

Not a normal DIY type job, but if you want to give it a shot go for it. You have 50/50 chance of finishing the job correctly.

Default Gears installed with set backs.

Ok so I went ahead yeasterday and tore the rear apart and change out all the bearings and the ring and pinon gears. I ran in to many problems one being i had the worst time pressing off the bearings on the ring gear it self. I guess theirs a special tool for that but not one i had so in my efforts to press them out the ring gear fell off the press and broke two teeth off the ABS ring. That aside I put it all togather for now with the new 373's installed untell i can order a new abs ring cause belive it or not two missing teeth does set off the low traction light while braking and we all know how that affects dry stoping. But i also have a wine at high speeds so I belive the the ring and pinon is not set right. i used the old shims to try and get everythink lined up the same but that didnt work i see. The pinon gear is riding on the inside of the ring gear instead of the center witch is probley where my wines comming from. But my question is witch way will I have to move it inorder for it to ride in the center of the gear and stop wining. Other than that I can already tell a huge improvement in the burn out, and launch. Also i was wondering how much that throws off my speedomer for i belive its off now and will have to have that reprogramed. Thanks too all for your advice.
