RE: SLP???
You can buy a SLP firehawk or SLP Camaro. You can not just buy the package. It is a number of small things including MAF, Y pipe, skip shift, suspension and other parts that came on the SLP f-bodys.

RE: SLP???
CBR Fail
The SLP package came on 4th Generation F-bodies (SS Camaro and Firehawk for the Firebirds) on model years 1996+. Evey SLP car came with a different visual package which included a functional "Ram Air" type hood/intake system and 17x9.5 wheels. This was the only "Standard" SLP package that they all came with, everything else is going to vary from car to car depending on what it was ordered with from the factory. The "ram air" raised the HP on the 96 and 97 cars due to a very restrictive intake system. Once they cars got the LS1, the ram air did not provide any significant flow over the stock intake and thus the cars (although factory ratings were higher) made no more HP than a non-SLP car. Other common options that were ordered was different cat-back exhaust and Level 2 or Level 3 Bilstien suspension.

RE: SLP???
The RS was not an SLP option, but rather a factory appearance package that was installed at GM, if you opted for the Y87 performance package you got the better (Z28, Bilstien level 1) suspension, Posi rear end and "dual exhaust".
On the other hand, the SLP Camaro's in 96 and 97 were production line Z28's that were pulled off of the completed assemly line. They were then shipped off to SLP where their hood and rear spoilers were removed and replaced with the SLP exterior features, the intakes were installed and then the other options ordered by the customer were installed. Starting in 98 the cars were not complete when they left the GM factory, instead they were fit with a temporary hood and spoiler and then shipped to SLP for their appearance and performance options.
There were many options you could get from SLP, but only the appearance and ram air were required for it to get the SS badge.

Another link to information on the SLP RS

Here is what it is, but as the post starter asked, you can not just buy it and put it on. You could collect the pieces to recreate it, but if you did not buy one with it then you are SOL.

RE: SLP???
Ah...silly single year cars.
So I amend my statement. The RS package was only available in 96 and 97 from GM and was only an option for the V6 cars, it then changed to the "sport appearance" package that could be ordered with any model and in 2001 SLP offered an RS model. Everyone happy?
