problem with my starter...
Well, I got a problem with my starter on my cam, it doesn't wants to work every time... Sometimes there isn't any problem, but on other times there's nothing when you turn the key.
The contact is here, but no excitation...
If somebody have already had this problem.... [sm=massbounce.gif]

RE: problem with my starter...
There's nothing when you turn the key. We don't hear anything. But sometimes it works great....
Somebody told me that it can be the "Neiman" contactor (I don't know if you say like that...), the thing where you put the key!!
If there's a bad contact with it, it can make this problem...
I'll do few tests to be sure that's not the starter....

RE: problem with my starter...
There are several things to look at:
1) Ignition switch
2) Start safety switches (Clutch Start switch for manual transmission, or Neutral Safety switch for manual tans mission.
3) Starter solenoid (Neiman contactor?)& starter motor. These two come as a single assembly.
The ignition switch energizes the starter solenoid, and the solenoid contacts provide high amperage battery power to the starter motor. The safety switch is between the ignition switch and the starter solenoid, and is used to preventenergizing of the starter solenoid, unless the clutch pedalis depressed or the auto transmission in Neutral or Park.
