Motor Oil
I've heard using certain brand of oil can you a horsepower gain of up to like 10HP, i'm not sure if this is true but my question is, what is the best brand of motor oil and what works best? I know this is an opinion based question but just wondering what you think.

RE: Motor Oil
Amasoil Synthetic is what we use in all of or cars but mine,we change them every 10 thousand miles and change the filter ever 5thou, it seems to work very good, makes the car run smoother and you might even see a 1mpg increase.

RE: Motor Oil
Mobil1 is good... AMSOil is good... Royal Purple is good... Any synthetic is good. If you're switching from Synthetic and have been using conventional for a long time you may want to but two filters at the same time. The synthetic will actually knock deposits from the conventional oil's buildup loose and if there's a lot it can fill up and clog up the filter. So, if you're switching over run it for about 250 - 750 miles and just change the filter. You shouldn't have to worry about changing the oil but the filter should be changed.
When I switched my wife's suzuki sidekick over to synthetic after it already had 220,000 miles on it I noticed a major change in behavior. A lot better gas mileage (not that it got bad gas mileage in the first place) and the ability to reach higher RPM on the highway with little to no straining.
