There are also some apparent deals starting to appear out there I plan on picking up a complete 4 bolt 350 for $150 if I can make it out there. This looks like a good deal http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/pts/944602871.html...... with the economy as it is I think there will be more deals coming up.

How much do you want to spend on the engine is the first thing you need to figure out, second is to find out what kind of shape the engine is in, was it running, smoking how was the oil pressure. From there check the casting numbers to see what you have, block and heads see if the owner knows what it was originally in. Let us know what kind of price range you are looking towards and the other details.
I will be looking to get the 350 in the spring maybe the summer. I'm going to try and find one that runs decently. As far as a price range i'm just going to buy more parts for it as I have the money and work my way up.

A little background information, i'm only 17 I bought the car last summer to work on and be a good learning experience for me. I've already redone the interior and got it running nicely. So I wanna start with the 350 and as I get money upgrade it slowly, I'm just not sure what to look for when i look at all these nice performance parts.
