How much power do you want? How much money are you willing to spend?

The problem you have is that the engine is comparatively small and there aren't too many things you can do to get a lot of power without spending a good deal of money. The most cost efficient things you can do is to put in a cold air intake and a cat back exhaust sytem. Between the two you should get about 20 HP.

After these two mods things start to get more expansive and give comparatively less for your money.
In order of bang per dollar:
1) Get the computer reprogrammed for another 10 HP.
2) Put in a hotter cam (not too radical) and reprogram computer again
3) Upgrade to porcupine heads and manifold from a 3400 model used on W cars. May require some fitting, but I am not sure as I haven't tried these heads on a Camaro block, but they do fit on a W car block, which is about the same. You will need special lenght pushrods. Reprogram computer again.
4) Install headers
5) Add a nitrous kit
6) Add a supercharger, if you can find one for a 60 deg 6 cyl
7) Add a turbocharger. Try adapting the one used for the 1990 Pontiac McLaren W car( Turbo Grand Prix). This really puts out the ponys if tuned right, feels like an LT1 witha a strong bottom end, except that the bottom of the engine does not like it when you use some serios boost. Pounds the hell out of the bearings, and oil pressure needs to watched. ( You will probably need the whole car in order to get all the pieces).
