Default I wasn't sure what to put this under....

how much hp am I look'n at geting for taking out my emmisions on a 1987 camaro 2.8 liter?

for that matter what am I looking at geting total/each hp
Iroc-z rims *are they lighter heavier?*
guting the car interior
taking off emision controls *catalyic converter,emisions pump
Intake
change fan to electrical

The car is stock 135 hp..... thanks nick

Take out the 2.8 and put in a bigger motor. No matter what you take off or out of the car you will still have a a slow car.[sm=chairshot.gif]

Gutting the interior and changing the rims won't give you more hp. I'd go with the IROC rims anyway, since they give you alot more rubber, and more rubber means more grip. Don't bother with the 2.8, though, waste of your time.

He's right, it doesn't give you more horsepower, but it frees it up. It doesn't have the same rotational inertia.

In my opinion v-6's should never have gone into camaro's. So I would just junk 2.8 and drop in a carburetored 350.
