Default Hey guys great forum.... hope for some help

I am new here, I have been looking around for a while but decided to post a question.

I have a 1969 camaro with a 509 big block, we are nearing completion but I am having a problem with header to spark plug clearance. I have dart aluminum heads and hooker headers... I didnt have a problem with the 454 that we replaced (after engine failure), but now I am having a terrible time getting the spark plugs to fit with the wires on. The heads are dart aluminum 118cc with 325cc intake runners, the plugs are autolite 3924 with .075 thread reach. I have attempted to get a set of shorty plugs from accel part number 0416s, but they are the same length as the autolite....frustrated!!
Is there a solution without having a custom set of headers made?? I was told that there is not a header set that will blot up to my application....
Please help I am running out of option!!

Thanks,
Bill
