well my dad has a 97 camaro rs and when it hits 3,000 RPM it shakes and sometimes it smells like smoke it feels like it doesnt get power . when the car stops in a red light it wants to turn off. this just happen 2 days ago. we dont really know whats going on.

 

get it scanned for trouble codes. could be as simple as changing the fuel filter or spark plugs and that would be a good place to start. whens the last time its had either changed?

 

well today was the last time it happen and the engine service light its now on.

 

it should have some trouble codes stored. if u can, stop by auto zone and see if they will scann if for u. some will. then tell us what the codes are.
