Default Gasket?

I just started my camaro up for the first time in over a year. First she spewed blue smoke, then white. It didn't stop, just slowed down. Is this normal for a car that's been sitting, or do I have a blown gasket? I must note that something is wrong here, just trying to track it down. Thanks.

don't know about blown but, definately sounds like a leaking gasket. most likely head but, could also be intake. check oil for water and water for oil also check plugs for white frosty buildup. does the engine surge any? thats usually a tell tale sign of a leaky intake. might wanna put a compression guage on the cylinders. if any are low put a little oil in the spark plug hole and try again. if it is still low chances are your head gasket is leaking. since it has setup, drive it abit and see if it clears up. the blue could have been simply oil leaking down from dry valve seals. Sick

I drove it up and down the road today and it cleared up, but not completely. Coolant jug is nasty, didn't check oil. There's actually an exhaust leak at the manifold, the gasket between the manifold and the pipe. It and the exhaust coming out the rear have that sweet smell to it. I'm just gonna redo the top end and throw on some headers that I found on summit, that'll fix just about all the problems this engine is having. I was gonna redo the whole engine, but if I can avoid pulling the engine I'll take that route. Does that sound right?

You'll likely need a new water pump if the coolant has been nasty for a while. Camaro water pumps are cheap. Save yourself the heartache later on and change it with everything else.
