when i bought my camaro i also got some extra heads. they are stamped 462624. i looked online and found this info: 462624.....75-86...350/400......76cc chamber, 1.72/1.5, 1.94/1.5 or 2.02/1.6 valves. how do i knkow which set of heads i have. also, if possible what car they may have came out of. i am kinda curious on that.

also the heads on my car now are stamped 3998920. the info found for this was:3998920....72-73...350. does any one know what size valves these are and what car these came from. again the curiosity. also, what are reliable sites for looking this info up. it seems different on a lot of sites.

measure the valves. 1.94/1.50 1.94 inches is the valve head width on the intake valve and 1.5 inches on the exhaust valve width.

Chevy small-block engine head casting numbers identify the model year, horsepower range, valve and chamber size and the size of the intake and exhaust ports.
