ok, need a oppinion first of the motor is a 3800 series 2 with nothing but a cold air kit. i have a question about a certain cam i am relativly new to the field being only 18. the cam is a comp cams xtreme energy l36 the duration is .050 intake .312 exh.300 lobe sep is 112. 105 lb valvs springs chromeoly pushrods and cromeoly steel retainers.. ok is this worth a substantial gain and worth the trouble it costs around 600 also would this require new rockers? or is this a relativly easy swap that doesnt need anything else to perform. any help is greatly appreciated

New rockers will not be needed, but a tune will so add another $200-300 to the cost. IMO it would not be worth the trouble. Start with some more basic bolt on type mods, such as headers, underdrive pulleys, intake manifold, cat-back, gears, tires and suspension mods.
