Default cam help please

Hi i have a 2000 camaro ss with 5600 miles on it.Its an automatic with headers, intake lid /filter,and catback.I was thinking of getting a cam and all tht goes with it but i do not know where to start.

Is there any other mods i should do before a cam.I have done a little research on ms3 cams but i dont need nothing too extreme and expensive bc its my dd,id just like it to lope, but i want to do it right.Ive thought of gm hot cam but have read that its not worth the money and should go bigger.Any input is appreciated thanks.

Maybe a a new torque converter with a higher stall. This one would probably be pretty streetable and sound pretty good too..........
http://www.compcams.com/Company/CC/c...csid=1402&sb=0 .... Pretty impressive rpm range on this cam too. More aggressive than the hot cam and should produce a good bit of power.

If you're trying to get a complete kit with a double roller timing chain, valve springs and etc., about 8 or 900 possibly up to 1k. Im not positive though so your best bet is to contact the comp cams tech support and get prices from them. Tell them you want the complete kit not the cam and lifters only kit. The Ls-6 intake would probably help to feed the motor with this cam so it might be a good idea to do both at the same time. Might also want a larger throttle body too.
