Boost Question
I've asked before, but no answer...
Does anyone know how much boost a 305 block can handle? If I'm going to boost it, it'll be built up right. I just don't know how much boost the block itself can handle...
And, does anyone know how much boost a 302 (whether a de-stroked motor or a real 302) can hold? I kinda like the idea of 7-9 K rpm on a turbo V8...

RE: Boost Question
If you going to use a lot of boost, my suggestion is to invest in a Bow Tie racing block. Good insurance. Because of the short stroke the 302 will have a stronger crank than the 305. A stock block will probably survive up to around 700 HP, more than thst you will need something sturdier.

RE: Boost Question
Oh thank you so much!
Crank is no prob, I'm planning on (If I ever do anything) doing everything as strong as I can afford. So it'll take me awhile. But 700 Horses will definately let me wup my camaro bud...
*Anyone know a Bow Tie Racing link? I googled and found a dead link...*
