Default Autokraft Oil Pan Capacity

I just purchased this LS converted 69 Camaro and changed the oil in it. I put the recommended 5.5 quarts with the Autokraft pan and it barely shows on dipstick. Do I fill to full mark which will be another quart or run at 5.5 quarts? Thanks.

You need to maintain the proper level in order for the oil pickup to work properly. The replacement pan probably holds more oil than the stock pan, so use the dipstick markers to get the proper oil level and prevent the engine from starving for oil.
