hi,
i have recently purchased a 91 camaro rs with the v6 3.1 motor.it ran ok but then stopped firing up.it turns over fine.so i replaced 5 out of the 6 sparks and it fired up as soon as i turned the key.the old plugs were gunked up so the engine was running too rich.i changed the sensor and now its back to doing the same thing again.what is the problem?i dont know what to do check or try.

What were the plugs gunked up with?
If they had dry black soot on them, that means it's running rich.
If they were crusty and gooey, that means the engine is burning oil and fouling out the plugs.

 

it was kinda dry but a little gooey.the plugs stunk of gas.and a little black smoke does come out my mufflers and even leaves a little ring on the ground after a while
