Lightbulb 478 Destroker BBC VS 513 Stroker BBC

No offense to you SBC guys but I want the "Brass Ring" a '70's Blown Pro-Street Camaro for use as a Street Cruiser (65-75%) & 10 Second Racer(25-35%).

I plan to use pump E-85 with its 96-105 octane and blend it with Rocket Brand E-85(112 octane).

I believe a destroker/ with a Hyd. Roller cam will limit RPM and kill some of the bottom end TQ Blown BBCs are known for.

502 are said to be able to withstand 1000+ HP and their walls if sonic checked can be boreable to 4.56.

I) Option 1: A 502 BBC 4.5 inch bore with Forged 8.25-9.7:1 CR Pistons, 6.385 Forged Rods, a steel 396/402/427 crankshaft, a Hyd. Roller cam with around 110-114 degress lobe seperation, Edelbrock RPM Xtreme heads, a Air/Water Intercooler, twin E-85 1050 Holleys, an 8-71 Roots Blower (8-12 PSI) (Total Displacement 478 Cubes)

II) Option 2: A 502 BBC 4.52 inch bore Forged 8.25-9.7:1 CR Pistons, a 4 inch forged crankshaft all other components same as above. (Total Displacement 513 Cubes)

Which is your choice & why?

Option 2- why not put the 4340 crank in it and avoid twisting and harmonics issues. The displacement is greater, so you will be able to force a little more air in for combustion...and the increased stroke will allow the rotating mass will give torque gains. How much overlap are you planning to have in the cam profile?

Option 2. Why? According to your math, 35 cubic inches. Instead of destroking, find a way to use the torque. I don't understand why you are worried about an rpm limit. That's what shift lights are for.
