The 4.3 is a totally different engine design. Basically, it's a small block 350 with two cylinders missing. The bellhousing pattern is the same as a v8, so the smaller v6 trans won't match up.

Not without swapping in a different computer compatible with the 4.3.
It would be a lot easier, and better performance wise, if you went with a carburetor and a stand-alone distributor. Any reason you want to keep the (cough, cough) TBI setup?

i mean you can make a 4.3 run like a raped ape...but put the same money into a 350 and you're going a whole lot faster. i just think you'd be wasting your money. however, part of me likes the idea of being different
