350 engine build costs
This winter I will be pulling my 350 out of my 1969 camaro. I was going to do a 383, but it is just a bit to much right now. I want to take my current stock 350 and go .30 over, hopefully use my current crank, a new cam, a new intake for the new Vortec heads. I am trying to figure out beside the intake and heads what this will cost. I have a machine shop in mind here in Cedar Rapids. I want a trouble free engine, as I was told that it was a rebuilt motor but that was not the case. Thanks, Jerod

Talk to your machine shop. Find out if there is a kit they like working with. Most shops are willing to assemble the motor but don't mind supplying you the parts. If they have a kit they are use to using they will have all the little bugs worked out. As a general rule the machine shop kits are very complete unlike some of online kits that know there is very little chance of a repeat customer.

if you cant do it yourself have a shop do it with the kits they use!! for a rebuild with boring .030 over and (new .030) pistons cause the stock ones wont fit a .030 over bore anymore, they should be able to do it for 1500-2000 for a quality shop!!
