hey guyz, im looking to build a 327 maybe late this summer, or next winter..
heres what i want out of it..
325-375hp
300-350ft-tq
good mid range torque and high rpm hp..
im thinking used vortec heads, aluminum intake, 700cfm carb, a mildish cam that works from 3,000- maybe 7,000rpm, and i want to keep the stock bore and stroke if i can find a block in good enough condition so i can keep the stock internals (cleaned and balanced)..
and will a stock LS1 rear end with 3.42 grears hold up without breaking?
any other tips or anything you recomend?

you could get the power and tq you want with all stock parts. i have a 327 in my 68 camaro thats the original #'s matching motor that is stil the orginal bore and stroke. i used date coded 68 202 camel hump heads with a gm 350 hp cam and a 1968 chevy parts over the counter aluminum high rise intake(exact same a 302/z28 intake just has a bowtie on the back runner) it's topped with an edelbrock 600 cfm carb. i dont know what rear end gears im running because i have never pulled my stock 12 bolt out yet. the ls1 rear will hold up but i think it might be too wide depending on what car you are putting it under.
