Default 305 question

qHey, i have a 77 camaro with a stock 305, im upgrading to a 4 barrel carb and intake, i bought a edelbrock 1405 carb without electric choke. but i have a intake that came off a 69 z28 that has the hook-up coil for electric choke, do i need a different intake or can i delete the coil on the intake? if so do they sell a plate that blocks it off or what can i use?

Thanks for any help.

I think you are a little confussed. The only hook up for a electric choke is a wire. Your 69 intake is setup for a non-electric choke. It just uses the heat from the intake to warm the spring and pull the choke off. It will not hurt anything by being there. Your just not going to have a choke.

Agree with Gorn and you just supply power to the choke on the new carb and your good to go

I think he's saying he doesn't have a choke on the new carburetor.
