hey i got an 87' it's got a 305 v8, manual 5spd trans,
i want to obtain 300hp, i'm lookin at an engine swap, but it's kinda pricy, but i'm lookin at a 350 fuel injected, v8 which if the site is correct, should give me 290 hp, i'm not sure how many ponies i'm putin out now, if you have an idea what i'm puttin out or how i can obtain 300hp, gimme a holler

p.s. if you know where i can get smokey lenses for my front headlights lemme know

 

The easy answer.... spray it! the harder answer.... full bolt on's like long tubes. Xpipe or Catback, and then serious stuff like a cam, heads, a good tune...etc

You do not qutoe what model..So if its is carb'd 165 Hp & TPI 215 Hp, but I would guess 165 HP. 300 from a 305, well for one MONEY.

 

You'll want to do some work with that transmission as well, either toughen it up or replace it; they didn't offer it with the 350 engine 'cause it couldn't take the abuse, and with 300 hp and a similar increase in torque, you'll be snapping it pretty easily, I think.

and if ur a magician, contact sicknick from camaroforums he hasent been on for a while though, he did and intense 305 build.

 

yeah one thing i was gonna do once i got a good amount of money up,
was to drop a brand new 350 fueal injected, v8 and a ford 9" rear end, so it can handle the power and the torque, that should give me 290 hp, at east thats what the web site said but it sounds about right, and the go with, x pipes, k7n air intake, turbo, new headers and just put ***** to the wall, what do ya think?
