I believe only the series II will work.

Series III was for 03' and up. It had a few changes, like Electronic Throttle control..

ok, so the only choice i have for a v6 is a 3800 series 2?
the v8 choices i have are 350 small block (requires new trans), ls1 (new trans), or an lt1 (which will work with my stock auto 4speed trans i believe?)
