taking apart headlights

Default taking apart headlights

im trying to clean the inside of my headlights. its like theyre fogged over on the inside so its not clear. i want them clear soo bad. i was looking at it today and i cant seem to figure out how to get the lens off. if you know how please lemme know. preciate it

What year? I've heard of "baking" them in the oven at a low temp, so as to soften the glue and make 'em easier to take apart.

Mine is a 98 camaro!!!but ahh yah....theres gatta be a better way toget to the inside of the headlightcoversthen baking them in the oven...[sm=outcold.gif].... right!! lol

haha yea mines a 98 also. i just dont wanna take apart the lens and the not be able to get it all back together. ive gotten the outside clean with mothers rubbing compound. if anyone needs some scuffs or sumthing taken out..that stuff works great. but as for the inside of them, i might just end up buying whole new headlights. unless i can figure out how to take them apart. but what do you mean by "baking" them??? actually putting them in the oven?? that sounds dangerous haha

LOL well i don't really want to do that if it's not needed but the guy who replied before me said something about baking them!!! but ahh I dono ...I am so frustrated right now i took the headlights off I just can't seem to figure out how to get the damn covers off so that I can clean the inside!!! ugh!!

Well guys ....it worked!!! got the headlight covers off by baking them in the oven ...yah thats right baking them lol anyway now i am gona clean them and make em good as new ...but thanks soo much for the help!!!!
