Default Headlight lenses

So I have this 2001 V6 Coupe and as you can tell from the pic the headlight lenses are kind of foggy.
I purchased a kit that included sanding and polishing the lenses but...well to me they look the same...maybe a little better but not much. My question is this...
Is there any way to get these scratches out or should I just bite the bullet and purchase new headlight lenses? Thanks much for all of your help!

what you could try, is take the lens off the car, and use a cleaner like clr, pour it in the lens swish it around then let it dry really well, other than that, you may have to bite the bullet

i love the ICE stuff, and the liquid wax works alot better if the ICE carwash and clatbar was used first, i didnt like at first cuz, like said, took a hell of alot to get it off, but use it with the wash and claybar, and it like wipes rite off, and it lasts me bout a week(i wash car every week though, sometimes twice) and you can see the shine in my sig

Hmmmmm...I never thought of CLR....wonder how it works on plastic...

I've seen the ICE stuff on the shelves....but does it clean that foggy stuff off my lenses?

I use Meguires Plastx and apply with a microfiber cloth. It works alright. You might want to try using Mothers Poweball, and a plastic cleaner. I saw this one write up some ricer did. I don't remember it exactly but he used like 1500-2000 grit sandpaper and after that used the Powerball and wax or something. From the pics he had it looked great. I'll have to try to find that site again.

Mother's Plastic polish, but apply it with a Mini Poweball and a cordless drill, works great on plastic!
