Default what should i do

i bought a 1986 camaro that was originaly a 6 cylinder at the previuos owner put a 350 5 speed in it the engine looks like it is from the 70ties its strong as hell tho. The guy spliced and hacked everyhting doing it so i riped all the wires out (NO big deal i went to school for electrical so i can re do it all) but i want to run a mechanical carb . The problem is the carb on their now is a tpi and a distributer with electrical going to it. What should i do leave the fuel pump in the tank and run a carb with no tpi? or shoulf i go with a mechanical carb and a non computer controlled distributer? Thanks guys

Default RE: what should i do

well it depends and the reason of the build if you run a tpi for the street it will be fine but then you have to worry about how your going to tune it and the cost of the tune. the carb you cna adjust and play with to get what you want but mostly it is up to you
