ok. the 92 has a different setup for the gauges. the speedo uses a vss. 89 and older are cable driven, but had a speed sensor inside the speedo. the factory tach will not work accuratly. the other gauges may, but im not sure. i think the v6 fuel pump will work, but i would eliminate the doubt and get one for a same year v8 car. i would suggest just getting aftermarket gauges. are you familiar with the v6 to v8 swap?
no im not familiar with the v6 to v8 swap needing as much guidence as possible engine torsen bar tranny and drive shaft is all in all i have left is starter, slave cylinder and finish running the wiring harness and checking my fuel pump to see if it still good
go into the third gen section and read the sticky on the v6 to v8 swap. as far as gauges, i dont trust anything other than autometer. i have a very basic right now and im in around $120, and those are the cheapest.
ok man here it goes i have everything in now im trouble shooting electrical problems any insight to this would be greatly appreciated my ACC circut pops the fuse everytime i put one in that slot also my fuel pump does not kick on not sure if its good or not yet my fuel pump relay isnt even clickiing also my heater fan is not working besides those three things everything else works awsome
thanks
thanks
the acc fuse popping could lead to a lot of things that could be shorting out. i would say to buy a circuit breaker and systematicly unplug things until you can find the issue. that will be cheaper in the long run than buying fuses all the time. when you swapped the harness, did it replace the aldl under the driver side portion of the dash? there is a way to jump power to the fuel pump through the aldl, i just dont know which pin it is off the top of my head. the heater fan, check for power at it as well. i dont think that would be why the acc fuse is popping, but its possible if wires are crossed
My husband is out but I will try to get the question right as I have been searching pics for him about the wiring for a console of a 69 camaro ss....Need to see the the back view specifically of the temperature gauge. Can someone help? thank you
