Default timing/ electonic trouble!

this might be in the wrong area of posting but thought i would give it a try sense no one has replyed in the other area.
i have a 89 rallysport 5.0 305
and i had to put a new distributor in and i went about timing it and i unpluged the wire it says to when adjusting the timingthe littlebrown one i belive. and got it runing great. but then after a couple times of driving it seemed to change its self.
and i no that the ecm must have changed it after pluging it back in. so how do i get it to be advanced without this happening?

OK, your ECM is going to change your timing, that's why you need to unplug the wire when you initially set it. Are you having driveability issues, or just curious about why it changed? If you know you set it right the first time, and it's running fine now, then put the timing light away and stop sweating it!
