oil pressure spike

Default oil pressure spike

i have a 97 3800 and some times the oil pressure will spike to almost 120 but i dont think its really that high cuz it dosent act up but the last time it happen was about two days ago and it pissed me off so bad i put the gas to the floor and held it to about 95 100mph and it went back to normal dose anyone have a clue as to whats goin on is it just a senser or what please help lol

I would suspect a bad sending unit, or the wire intermittently shorting out.
And try to remember that engines don't have feelings. However, if there was a problem with the engine, it could get even with you and blow up because of you getting pissed and abusing it.

true i realy shouldnt treat it like that but i was just tired of tha problem
