[align=left]My wife has a 2000 v6 camaro and recently the "service engine soon" light has been coming on.When this happens it loses power and seems like no matter how much gas you give it still seems bogged down,this especially happens going uphill.
So today after it happened we stopped at Advance and had them test it..It came up with 5 codes so I wrote them down and had the fellow clear them.
Later in the day engine light comes back so,I stop at autozone and same 5 codes again.
I knew it was O2 codes just wanted to see exactly which ones and maybe post here and find the location(s) of the sensor(s) that need changed.Someone told me there are 4 on this car..here's the codes and any help would be appreciated... Thank You

P0151 - HO2S Circuit Low Voltage Bank 2 Sensor 1 <---- O2 Sensor is located in the passenger side exhaust manifold
P0171 - Fuel Trim System Lean Bank 1
P0174 - Fuel Trim System Lean Bank 2


Replace the O2 sensor listed above, and it should clear up the codes and such. By the way, you only listed three codes, not five.

autozone has 8 listed...I take it it's one thats before catalytic converter

Before, yes. As far as which ones... Get one that is OE type.

 

UPDATE
changed the 2 sensors located on exaust manifolds ($140 for both)
now she runs like new

Ok I'm back...
It ran ok for a few weeks and starting to act up again.
No constant SES light this time,just the usual bog down especially going uphill.She did say the light flashed when it was acting up,but went off after it straightened up.
So far I've replace the two o2 sensors located on the manifolds as well as had new plugs and wires installed...
Maybe PCV valve??Fuel Filter??
I think I read someone having similar issues being told to change that or something else.

If the SES light flashes for awhile and then goes on solid, it indicates a misfire. If it's on solid from the get go it's something else. Is the light currently on? Even if it's not, codes still may be stored in the memory.

 

first of all, plugs should NOT cost 140..... all o2 sensors are the same, its the same part before and after the cats. it almost sounds like you bought widebands... unless that 140 includes a mechanics install cost?

a flashing SEL usually means misfire. ur best bet is to run it to autozone and get some more codes. theres alot of things that can make a car act up.
