Default Need some Advice

Hi,

I have a 96 6 cylinder stnd Camaro. Everything was working perfect till I tried making it turbo. I took the car to a mechanic and he said i needed a new Computer. I have the original COmputer , but i cant seem to program it correctly . Im looking for a better programable computer, easy to program, etc. The mechanic said that the computer I had wasnt sending "signals" and that it wasnt using all the fuel injectors. I have no idea.

If anyone knows anything about what i tried explaining , please help me. Or , if you know of a good programable computer , let me know.

PS: Im Puerto Rican . My english isnt very fluent. Please forgiveme if you couldnt understand how i tried explaining.

Update: The ECU is the problem. Its messed up or something. Its not sending signals so its not sending enough gas. The car has a 3.8 motor 6 cilinder..

You did upgrade the fuel system, right? Did someone program the computer for you after you installed the turbo?

Just adding a turbo isn't going to work right. The fuel system has to be upgraded to deliver more fuel when needed, The MAP sensor has to be replaced with one that can go to at least 2 atmospheres in order to measure the turbo pressure. The stock MAP sensor is only good for 1 atmosphere and does not recognize positive pressure in the intake. The computer is fine but needs to be tuned to the new engine configuration. Try "pcmforless.com" & see if they can exchange your PCM with one with the right programming.
